AED operation steps
Step 1: Turn on the power.
Step 2: Connect the electrode plates.
Place the electrode plate in place on the patient's chest and insert the electrode plate plug into the AED mainframe jack. Once the electrode plates are properly connected, the AED automatically analyzes the heart rhythm and does not touch the patient during this process, as even a slight touch can affect the AED analysis. After the analysis is complete, the AED will issue a recommendation for defibrillation.
The third step: defibrillation.
When the AED issues a defibrillation recommendation, the operator and nearby population should not be in contact with the patient. The operator presses the "discharge" or "defibrillation" button of the semi-automated external defibrillator to perform defibrillation, and the fully automatic external defibrillator can automatically perform defibrillation without pressing a button.
